Getting assistance from Blessings In Disguise starts with a simple qualification process. We assess each need based on our qualification guidelines, along with the severity and impact of the need.
Our goal is to help those who are in a short term financial crisis. Payments are made directly to the companies that are at issue including mortgage and rent payments, car payments, utilities and food if required.
As much as we would love to help everyone, our donations determine who we can help and to what extent we can help.
Your need must be based on an unemployment (no fault of your own), short term disability, workers compensation, or FMLA. We will look at long term disability on a case by case basis with no guarantees. Typically, we can return an answer in under a week.
We help those individuals that are in a short term financial crisis. You must either be on unemployment compensation, short term disability, workers compensation or on FMLA. You must also be able to verify you are on one of those programs.
